We all have those people in our lives who come along and leave a mark. In the six years I have known and trained with Vince, he has significantly and positively impacted my life in ways I had never expected, so he is undeniably one of those people for me.

My friend and mentor, another of Vince’s longtime clients, introduced me to him in 2018. As a former athlete, I tried to stay active as best I could, but life got in the way, and fitness fell to the wayside. I wanted to get into shape and improve my mindset, and I desperately needed a new challenge.

As I reflect on my 2-year anniversary of working with Vince I’m reminded how thankful I am that our paths crossed. 

I was just finishing up a round of recommended physical therapy for a knee injury I sustained playing tennis. While this intervention assisted with pain management, the discomfort and caution I used in my activities of daily living remained concerning. 

My physician suggested I consider a knee replacement. This recommendation was the jolt I needed to truly focus on my health in my way.

My exercise routine used to be seasonal: biking all summer to shed weight, only to put it back on during the winter months when I became more sedentary. Then, a cycling accident made me hesitant to get back on the bike. I knew I needed a solution to manage my winter weight, so I joined the neighborhood gym.

I’d done this before—paid for a membership, started going, only to lose motivation and end up with a membership I rarely used. I didn’t want that cycle again, so I convinced my neighbor, who was fit, to take me along and show me around. This worked until our schedules no longer matched. Left to go alone, I started observing others in the gym and mimicking their routines, though I wasn’t exactly sure how to use the equipment correctly.

The first step on your new journey is our meet for a complimentary consultation. During this consultation, you and I will discuss your current level of fitness and talk about goals. We will discuss your nutrition and gather information about your lifestyle and goals to help me prepare the best plan for you.

The Journey Begins

The next step is then to set up your first session. At this session you can expect to learn about the format at the gym, start learning form and gauge where you are so we can set your Personal Record goals.
